What I've found out, is that if I'm having writers block it's because the topic has triggered me. When this happens I step away from writing and use the tools I've learned in therapy to deal with the triggers. I don't rush the process when I'm triggered. I take as much time as I need to process, then when I'm ready I go back to writing.

There's no magic formula, just write whatever pops. Your book might go through several revisions before it's ready. Guess what? It's ok. Some people will love your writing, and some won't. That's life, you cannot please everyone. At the end of the day, it only matters if you please God.

I have 4 books I'm working on. A teen version of "Repurposing Your Soil", a children's book called "The Adventures of Princess Jane and the Pirate Brothers", and a two part book series called "Church Hurt", and "Church Hurt, The Aftermath"

If I'm writing in the Christian genre, I use my time when I'm praying and studying God's word to see the direction he wants me to go in my writing. I want to make sure the message I'm giving, comes from him. For the Fiction genre, I let my imagination go and have fun with my writing.

After my appearance on The Chosen's documentary, I received message from around the world of people wanting to know how do I cope with PTSD, depression, and suicide attempts, while keeping my faith in God. Instead of writing a book about my life story, I felt lead to write a prompted journal that helps other people navigate trauma.
