Thersa and Nidrean are sent by the king to the Academy in a foreign land, to punish their mother for the forbidden things she had been teaching them. Raised in the confines of the women’s quarters, where abuse was common, poorly educated, and entirely unfamiliar with the outside world, the young sisters find themselves in a place with customs so different they’re incomprehensible. They’re expected to work alongside boys, wear armor, and learn the sword!

This was a great introduction to the story. It was interesting to see how the sisters… adjusted to life in a new world. My only complaint about the short story is because it was just that… however I shall be assuaged by looking up the others in the series. If you like Asgaardian type stories, this is the jam for you!
