Story starts in the 1950's. We follow the life of a young woman who loses her husband early in their marriage and the choices she has to make for her life now and in the future. How will she make a living? What skills will she need to embark on a life on her own. Our main character, Janessa, finds a career in Nursing. This career path sets her life on a journey of great change. Being a very giving person, Janessa does give of herself and finds the rewards can be both painful and wonderful at the same time.
