Known for his hauntingly seductive style, Goran tends to inject unsettling realities and themes into his narratives. Many of his characters are females who fight “the system” and reveal inner strength in adverse situations along their journey to a resolution. These kinds of stories originated from Goran’s personal observations with emotionally affected people who have an undercurrent of generational wounding.
Goran adapted one of his novels into a limited series screenplay with the potential for expanding the project. “Soul Piercer” is a unique blend of a phycological drama with supernatural/metaphysical elements. It contains extremely triggering scenes and is aimed at an audience who appreciate esoteric productions.
Goran also wrote an award-winning feature length screenplay that’s a historical psychological drama. The setting is in New York City in 1963, which was a tragic year for many Americans, and Eastern Europe in the 1950s. This screenplay primarily features female leads and is a disturbing survival account of a young female teenager finding balance between family and self-preservation.
