Bordering On Love

Rate this book
A slow-burn, friends to lovers, sizzling romance.

Five years ago, Grayson traded his SEAL trident for a badge in law enforcement. When his sister calls from the Pacific Northwest asking for help, he agrees to come home, but falling in love wasn’t part of the deal.

Hunting for evidence on a case, he crosses paths with Holly.

“Other than attracting men’s attention and causing a disturbance, have you noticed any suspicious activity around the resort?”

When the raven-haired woman’s unforgettable eyes snap with indignation, Gray’s certain he’s pissed her off. As she walks away, he’s left with the feeling it’s him who’s rattled.

He and Holly cross paths too often to call it coincidence.

Each time, it’s like being struck by ten-thousand volts. Gray hides his attraction behind the badge he wears until some punk assaults her. To serve and protect Holly isn't enough.

The last words Holly’s ex said before leaving her for another woman didn’t destroy her. It made her stronger.

“Face it, Holly, you’re boring. Marrying you was a mistake.”

Her only mistake was trusting a man dedicated to sleeping with other women. She’s not dull, she’s a scientist who deciphers ancient scripts. With her divorce finalized, she escapes for a weekend getaway. When an inebriated guest at the resort steps out of line, Det. Brooks intervenes. His weathered, warrior good looks are hard to ignore. Luckily, she’ll never see him again. But fate pokes its finger in her simple life when she’s mugged and the rugged detective she wants to forget responds to the call.

“No matter how hard the past, you can begin again.”--Buddha

When his family reaches out for help, Gray drops everything and moves back home. Being more of a love’m and leave’m when it comes to relationships, Gray never expected to begin developing feelings for Holly beyond a physical one. Maybe it’s not too late to teach an old dog new tricks…

Recently divorced from a marriage she desperately wants to forget, Holly is not ready nor is she looking to start a new relationship. But there is just something about Gray…maybe she could open her heart and take a chance…maybe she could put her fears to the side…maybe Gray could be her happily ever after…

Reader, I’m gonna be flat out honest when I say I’ve really been struggling with reading lately. This book slump had me continuously looking for the one story that will “be the one”. So, when I saw Natasza Waters had a new release, of course I jumped at the opportunity to read it! This sizzling hawt second chances and new beginnings love story has just the right amount of heat combined with a feel-good romance that has become one of my new fav reads! Highly recommend!

Grayson has struggled with connecting with women otherwise than for a roll in the hay so when he mets Holly; it is the first time in his life that he feels more than just a fleet attraction. Holly worries that Grayson is like her ex-husband and is not interested in her. But fate keeps bringing them together and as they face their fears, deal with a stalker and resolve misunderstandings they fall in love. I love that Natasza Waters has characters that are realistic with fears and worries with like all of us and of course the attraction between the characters is intense so the passionate scenes are hot. I enjoyed reading this friends to lovers romance. Natasza Waters books are always great to read!

I just finished reading Bordering On Love by Natasza Waters. It’s no wonder that Ms Waters has become one of my favorite authors! The writing is crisp and clean, details are sufficient without being fussy. The characterization of those in her story are definitely stellar, with each of them being relatable, down to earth and personable. Even many of the villains are complex enough to illicit understanding of their motivations. I especially like that even the hero and heroine have their flaws and often cannot see their own failings, just like in real life! Grayson and Holly are one of my favorite couples.

BORDERING ON LOVE is a fulfilling love story. The emotions run the gamut from laughter to tears, joy to sorrow, with enough elements of drama, suspense, angst, frustration, and passion to leave you thoroughly satisfied. You’ll be so completely captivated by Grayson and Holly’s story that there are times when you’ll wish you could smack them both for the decisions they make. But I can assure you that you are also going to want to share in all their challenges and triumphs. Theirs is a story that will keep you fully entertained from beginning to end. Grayson and Holly’s journey is filled with ups and downs with some unsettling twists and pleasant surprises, but it's a trip that you are going to be glad you took. Just one word of warning, don’t start reading in bed, not if you plan to also get some sleep, because once you start you are not going to want to put this one down.

This was a surprise release by Natasza Waters. . . A wonderful surprise! I love Grayson and Holly’s chemistry. The story is very captivating. I love the suspense, the action and the passion in this book. Another thing I love about this book is the fact that it actually has 2 love stories of 2 alpha protectors, who are best friends, meeting their soul mates. The challenges faced by these 2 couples are nothing to joke about. The author did a great job of keeping her readers at the edge of their seats while the couples navigate these trials. It’s a definite must read!

Bordering On Love is a phenomenal romantic suspense by Natasza Waters. Ms. Waters has provided readers with a well-written book and furnished it with a spectacular cast of characters. Grayson went from a Navy SEAL to law enforcement. Now he's making another change to law enforcement in his hometown area and helping out on the family ranch. Holly is a divorced, works long hours and to relax treats herself to a weekend across the border at Neon Lights Resort. Holly and Grayson's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle, mayhem and misunderstandings. I loved this book from cover to cover and look forward to my next book by Natasza Waters. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.
