Get married to save Christmas? Why not, I don’t have anything else to lose.
Hope My Cinderella story is stuck on the part before the fairy Godmother comes to her aid. You know, when the stepmother and sisters torment her. To appease them, I work four jobs with no magical transformations or windfalls in sight, especially not in time for Christmas.
Nico When a singing Christmas-wish-o-gram girl does her charming song and dance, I have no doubt my brothers are behind the goofy gift. I’m the baby in the family, but by no means tiny. Sure, I’m the youngest and most inexperienced when it comes to women, but I can find my own dates, thanks very much.
Hope The guy from the pizza shop who I accompanied to the Christmas Market in town was cute, sweet, and someone I wouldn’t mind seeing again if I had time for a life of my own—and wasn’t trying to stop a vandal from ruining our town’s Winter Wonderland extravaganza.
Nico When it turns out she’s my neighbor and her stepmother and stepsisters are shrews, I do the only sensible thing—offer to be her fake husband to free her from their clutches. Unfortunately, I’ve never kissed a woman. She’s quick to give me lessons, and I’m starting to think there’s nothing fake about this. Nothing at all.

I've loved the entire Costa Brothers Cozy Comfort Christmas Romance series, but Ellie Hall saved the best for last with Nico and Hope's story! This funny, sweet, and heartwarming tale was exactly what I needed to get into the Christmas spirit and is sure to appeal to all fans of fairy tale retellings, particularly Cinderella.
Hope Marshall has pretty much been on her own since losing her father when she was only 16. Sure, she has a stepmother and two stepsisters, but they treat her as if she were their servant. Not only that, her stepmother claims Hope owes her a debt and has been making her repay it with interest for the last several years. In an effort to make the final payment by spring and finally be free of "the Steps," Hope has been working four jobs; the latest is a seasonal position as a Christmas Gift-o-Gram Girl delivering singing telegrams and seasonal experiences to the residents of Hawk Ridge Hollow. When she's hired to deliver one to Nico Costa at his family's new pizza and pie shop, he's sure that his five older brothers are pranking him. Even so, he can't help being smitten with Hope after an afternoon of cookie decorating. He'll do anything to spend more time with her - even volunteer to be her fake fiance when the Steps announce that they're moving into Hope's tiny cottage with her because of a plumbing problem at the family home.
I liked Nico in the earlier books of the series because of the way he teased his older brothers, but I totally fell for him after getting to know him better in this story. I empathized with his feelings of being overlooked as the baby of the family as well as his shyness/awkwardness with women. I loved the way he connected with Hope and gained confidence by helping her stand up to the Steps. As for Hope, it amazed me how positive she was in the face of so much adversity. She fit in perfectly with Nico and the rest of the Costas, who took her in and became the family she'd always wanted.
I can't recommend this book (and the entire Costa Brothers series) highly enough! Without a doubt, it has been one of my favorite series of 2022. I look forward to whatever Ellie Hall writes next.

The baby finally gets his own book! I loved Nico from the beginning of the Costa brothers series, so I was so excited when he finally got his own HEA! Poor Nico has been stuck in his brother’s shadows for years. It was fun to finally see him. I think every book we get to see the brothers in a different way, and this one is no different. I loved the little awkwardness that was still in this book, but it was fun to see a confident Nico too. He was ready to stand up for Hope, and it was simply too cute! I love Hope! I think her situation made a lot of sense, and while it was frustrating to see her get walked over, I also understood why she stayed with her stepfamily. I loved how she kept her spirits up and refused to be crushed. But she did have to learn to stand up for herself and learn to trust others again. I loved this quick read! It does progress fast which was a little hard for me, but it is a novella :) Nico and Hope have a case of love at first sight, but it also fits for them. They’re both more innocent characters, Nico hasn’t even had his first kiss yet, and I think the love at first sight trope really worked for them. I would totally recommend this entire series but especially this book! I think this might be my favorite so far. It is a clean romance perfect for this Christmas month!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.
I quickly learned that when Paulo Costa wanted something, there was no mistaking it.
Just swoon! This last installment of the #costabrothers series was so sweet, and a bit wicked… meaning the step mother and sisters. I wanted to throw the book across the room a couple of times. I cannot imagine people actually being so cruel!
But other than those three, this book was all that you would want out of a contemporary Cinderella tale!
I don’t know what prayer Momma Costa prayed this Christmas, but she got all 6 of her boys paired off and practically married off too! That’s apparently saying something! Lol (a little prayer like that for me Momma Costa?) 🤣🙏🏼
✨Book Review✨ Paulo & Noelle and a Partridge in a Pear Tree @elliehallauthor ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Anyway, read this if you enjoy:
☕️first kisses ☕️hot chocolate bombs ☕️Cinderella vibes ☕️big families ☕️youngest child ☕️Christmas time ☕️small towns ☕️protective male ☕️ANY of the other Costa brothers stories…
Then this is your next read. And while it can be read as a stand alone, it’s best enjoyed… like those hot chocolate bombs Paulo makes… in the “mix” of his brothers other 5 books.
Thanks @elliehallauthor for having me on your ARC team. Receiving the ebooks each month was a joy and helped me get into the spirit of Christmas much sooner than normal, but it was something I most definitely needed! All thoughts are my own and a positive review was not required, but most certainly deserved.
This was such a fun holiday twist on the story of Cinderella! Hope has been used by her stepmom and step sisters for so long, and this Christmas she is hoping for a turn on her luck! Through one of her many jobs, she is paired up with Nico, they find they have a little bit of a history, and are both delighted to get an opportunity to get to know each other better. Will Hope's family win and ruin her holiday love story, or will Hope be able to join forces with Nico and the Costas to finally be free? If you are looking for a sweet holiday romance, look no further than Ellie Hall, and this delightful series! They remind me so much of Hallmark movie vibes, and I have enjoyed getting to know each of the Costas and watching their love stories unfold! Nico was one of my favorite characters- I enjoyed so much how patient and steadfast his care for Hope was. I am sad to see the Costas series end, but have enjoyed this series and family so much! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Nico might just be my favorite Costa—what a great way to end the series! This is a Cinderella-inspired story with such a cinnamon roll, adorkable MMC and the whole story is so sweet and fun!I couldn’t help myself with choosing that quote for the graphic—I have six kids and one bathroom. Enough said. 🤣˥️🤣
Things I Loved: -Super Secret Santa Stuff -@FerrariRocher & @Hot-Croco-Late -“Not date” -Icing mishap -Snowball fight -King of Awkwardland -Layers like a cinnamon roll (seriously, one of my new favorite comparisons!) -“It’s like he holds a key to a lock that I didn’t even realize was around my heart. It fits, it clicks, and he turns it.” -First kiss 😍 -Candy ring -No pie for her -The lookout spot -Hot Chocolate Bombs (I made over 100 one year for Christmas gifts—they are so good, lol) -The locket & the ring
It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the Costas, but this was a fun end to this sweet and swoony Christmas series! ˥️
This final story in the Costa family series is so sweet! I loved Nico and Hope together!
Hope’s story is reminiscent of Cinderella, and fairytale retellings are some of my favorites, so I enjoyed seeing the fairytale elements in this story. Nico is the youngest in his family, and I thought that aspect was really well written! It was fun to see Nico come into his own and fall in love with Hope, and I was so happy to see Hope receive a happily ever after.
The descriptions of food in this story are amazing, and I craved chocolate and pasta the whole time I was reading. Everything sounded so yummy!
I have immensely enjoyed this Hawk Ridge Hollow series following the Costa family, and I’m looking forward to reading what Ellie Hall publishes next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
"I don't know what to think other than how beautiful the woman in elf costume is. Her hazel eyes hold mine. I brush my hand through my hair. She smooths a piece of her honey-colored hair and then brushes the dangly antenna out of her face. It pops back into place. She adjusts it. It stubbornly springs back and bonks her forehead. She glances up, shakes her head, and gives up. I was already smiling, but this little battle with her headband budges my smile up even more. (...) The Christmas-gift-o-gram Girl, as she dubbed herself, can turn heads. She has the kind of smile that can stop traffic and cause a pileup. That could brighten a starless night. That warms me from top to bottom".
"Hope Marshall. Hope. It's like her name doesn't want to leave my lips, my mind, or my heart. Her name couldn't be more perfect for her. She radiates hope. Her smile. Her laugh. She's like a sunny morning and the comforting blanket of night".
"Do you like pie?". "I tend to avoid unnecessary sugar", Jackie retorts. In my opinion, she could add a little cushion to her Halloween skeleton figure and a little sweetness to her lady Dracula personality. (...) Dashing back to the front door, I find Nico surrounded. Arctic and her twin, Antarctica, flank their mother".
"Jackie says, "Nico, watch out. Hope will use you too. Try to take you for everything ypu're worth." Turning to me, she says, "Then you'll lose him just like you've lost everyone else you've ever loved." As long as I've known her, Jacqueline Mulford has stuck me with barbs, pierced me with darts, and poked me with thorns. She's an expert at sharp and painful objects. But that one was a dagger to the heart".
✨Nico & Hope and a Partridge in a Pear Tree de Ellie Hall serie The Costa Brothers Cozy Christmas Comfort Romance libro 5🎄
Argumento:
Desafortunadamente, nunca he besado a una mujer.

Review:
Nico!!!! 😍 I’ve been waiting for the youngest Costa’s story and I am sooo happy with it! I loved that Ellie made this a Cinderella story with Nico as the dashing prince ❤️. I loved how patient and caring he was with Hope and would stand up to her family subtly to not cause her further grief with them. I also loved that he took in her cats when the steps caused mischief that would have left them in the cold. I loved Hope’s caring heart and that she didn’t want to burden anyone. I loved that Nico knew this and made sure his sister intervened to get Hope to at least come and see the job they set up for her when she needed a new one. I loved the sweet gestures between Nico and Hope that told each other they were thinking of them. And I was so glad to see Hope get comfortable around the Costa clan by the end of the story!
Summary:
Hope is living out her Cinderella life, complete with a horrible step family that keeps stepping all over her. And she has to let them, otherwise how will she ever get out of her stepmother’s debt? When Hope starts her new job as a Christmas-wish-o-gram girl and manages to meet a sweet guy, she begins to wonder if she could ever have a life that includes a man like Nico. Someone who wants to get to know her and protect her interests instead of their own. Someone who builds her up instead of tearing down all her hopes, dreams, and sense of normalcy in her life…
Nico knows that his brothers must be up to the Christmas-wish-o-gram song and dance, who else would have paid for someone to embarrass him and try to set him up with a girl in the same move? After all, part of the package they paid for is the singer would join the recipient on a Christmas activity of their choice around town. Nico can get his own dates if he wants to and loathes that his brothers don’t think so, but he isn’t about to look this gift horse in the mouth and let the opportunity of getting to know Hope pass him by. As he learns more about her and her life situation with her stepfamily, Nico wants to protect her and volunteers to pretend to be her fiancé in hopes of getting them to back off of her and her space. Though the family seems skeptical, Nico knows that this fake relationship is feeling more and more real in each passing glance…and he wants Hope to know these feelings are true, not just a ruse anymore. Will she accept him and want more than they originally bargained for?
The last Costa's brother. It was bittersweet saying bye to this series. It is really one of my favorites.
So, this book! Poor Hope, she was a real life Cinderella. I didn't like her stepsisters, Ellie did a really good job portraying them as such horrible human beings.
I love that Hope was always kind & selfless, despite what life has thrown her. My heart felt for Nico, he was just the sweetest, but had so many insecurities. How he sometimes viewed himself almost broke my heart.
It was so cute how they meet & were seeing each other again 🎄. Nico was just so shy & a lovely cinnamon roll. He was so precious! That man could flirt!! I loved their chemistry🔥.
“Looks like a date. Sounds like a date. Smells like a date. But does it taste like a date?”
The only thing, really small one, was that it was an insta-love. Which it's totally fine, Ellie does an amazing job with it. I think it's one of the best I've read... It's just that I always have some trouble liking this trope, not my fav cup of tea.
Nonetheless, these two are so sweet! I loved their not date🍪, the secret place 🏞️, the small little selfless acts🍫☕ . It was also super sweet how, when everything went down w/ poor Hope, Nico was there to support her. Seeing all the Costa's in action was the best! Loved seeing them again.
Hope had some trouble choosing herself. I think it can be something that happens if you've been abused your whole life. It takes some time to stick up for yourself. They both had some growing & development to do. Realizing that it's okay to have someone else you can have support.
By the way, I loved all the cooking & baking during this book, and the whole series! I'm super happy that Ellie included all the recipes in a book.
I can't believe this series is done. I will definitely re-read my favorite books in this series w/ the lovely Costa's 🍕. I'm excited for what's to come next w/Ellie.
⚠️TW: death of loved one; abusive family.
🍁 * I was kindly gifted an ARC from the author. This doesn't influence in any form my review/opinion of the book*
A Cinderella retelling with an Italian Prince Charming. What would a modern day Cinderella look like? Who would her Prince Charming be? This book answers these questions with a happy twist that will have you loving the characters in just a few pages. Hope has lost both parents but gained a horrible stepmother with two equally horrible daughters. After her father’s death Jackie, stepmom, begins recording every single expense incurred by Hope down to utilities. If Hope refuses to pay Jackie will keep her mother’s necklace and locket, the one thing belonging to Hope’s mom that Jackie did not throw away after the wedding. So now Hope works four jobs to try and pay the debt and get the necklace. Her first day on her latest job, delivering singing Christmas-grams), sees her being sent to Nico Costa not only to sing but spend a few hours with him. His brothers and sister had paid for it but no one could know that this meeting would have major consequences. As Nico and Hope spend the day together, Nico becomes not only attracted to Hope but intrigued with her life situation. On her part Hope is equally attracted to Nico but a spur of the moment announcement of their engagement, just hours after meeting, may derail everything. This book is such a charming, fun read. You’ll find yourself rooting for Hope and Nico while booing the step relations. Such fun! I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
What I read: Nico & Hope and a Partridge in a Pear Tree by Ellie Hall
Why I picked it up: I started this series and they have become “a book a day” for me, and now I’m finished!
How I read it: On Kindle Unlimited in a day.
What it’s about: This is a bit of a Cinderella retelling complete with ugly step sisters and an even more awful step mother. She meets Nico under odd circumstances at one of her many, many jobs that she has to repay her evil stepmother. While Nico hasn’t been in a relationship before, he sure dives in quickly and they find themselves engaged within hours of meeting and married within weeks.
What I liked: I think Nico was one of my favorite brothers, he was definitely the one with the least amount of baggage.
What I disliked: Hope was being abused by her step mother and step sisters – and that wasn’t really addressed. They were some of the worst villains!
Genre: Chaste love story, Christmas, small town.
Rating & Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and it’s a sweet series, I’m finished, but I’m not sure it’s worth all the effort. Maybe they aren’t designed to be read all in a row? Or maybe they are, I don’t know.
Nico and Hope's story is a perfect addition to the series and one that takes your emotions on a wild ride of hope, love and family.
Hope's life is that of Cinderella, all she needs is the helpful mice and singing birds. With the Steps in her life running her ragged, interfering in her future and holding debt over her head, Hope keeps her head up and has a giving heart, she just needs a glimmer of hope to get what she wants.
Nico is the youngest in his large loud family, he holds a secret that weighs on him. Helping his family at the Pizza and Pie story, he also has a hidden passion for chocolate. When his family decides mess in his love life, what they don't realize is the prize they sent her.
Great story, love the twist and turns that continually show up and keeps you on your toes - The realization that Nico and Hope actually have met, at least online before, her steps plots and twist, along with Nico's mother and family strength and love (fierce).
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ve just binged this whole series in a few days, now I have a lovely book hangover. Let’s just say it was a busy Christmas season for the Costas as all of the brothers found true love. Each story is so different and so well done, with the common component the importance of family above everything else. Nico was always talked about as the baby of the family and overlooked, but he had a few secrets up his sleeve er life. There’s much more to him than his family gives him credit for. Hope plays the role of Cinderella quite well and even has the wicked steps to boss her around and make her work. Her stepmother Jackie has held hostage a locket that’s the only thing she has left from her parents. But the wicked steps have never encountered the Costas when they are taking care of one of their own, and they consider Hope one of their own. Clean, fun, funny, romantic, sigh-inducing and wonderful.
As the baby brother of the family, Nico is used to his brothers’ shenanigans. He’s hardly shocked when a singing telegram girl, Hope, arrives at the pizza and pie shop with a surprise for him. Nico finds himself instantly smitten with Hope and wants to get to know her better. When he finds out about her stepmother and her awful family situation, he offers to step in as her fake fiance. This sets off a chain of events, neither of them could have expected.
Nico & Hope and a Partridge in a Pear Tree is the sixth and final book in The Costa Brothers Cozy Christmas Comfort Romance series. While I’m sad to see this series come to an end, it could not have had a better ending. Nico and Hope’s story was well worth the wait.
Nico is the Prince Charming to Hope’s Cinderella in this twist on a fake relationship romance. His infatuation only grows with the more time that they spend together. I love that the storyline is a modern spin on a fairytale. There is a little bit of a twist that I never saw coming. The mystery adds something extra to the plot making it my book favorite of the series.
Note: I would not recommend trying to read this as a stand-alone. All of the books in the series overlap within the same time period (around Christmas) although each is told from separate POVs. They are all sweet, Christmas themed romances. There is some kissing in each of the books but nothing more than that.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I was sad to come to the end of this series, but maybe they have cousins or other relatives to continue their stories. Nico maybe be the youngest never been kissed brother, but he shows maturity with the way he stepped up to take care of Hope who was being treated like an indentured servant by her greedy and selfish step relatives. I was secretly hoping someone was recording the twins’ bad behavior to post on their social media. If I were Hope I would have sought my own legal counsel long ago instead of taking the abuse, but they had her so beaten down that she probably thought it was what she deserved. Nico’s family provides plenty of humor and yummy sounding food to lighten up the mood in this sweet romantic comedy.
I'm not usually a binge reader. When I read Tommy and Meri's story (last year?) I enjoyed it but knew I needed to read the Hawkins brothers books before continuing. My usual pattern is alternating genres, so I worked my way through over the past several months. This Christmas series hit just right for this season especially when I figured it was complete so I'd be able to go all the way through, so I started with intent. I loved each story with each Costa brother, devouring each book in a day around work and family responsibility, then I looked for Nico and about cried when I learned I had to wait 6 days! Worth the Wait! What a finish for the family, I guess when Ma Costa prays for Christmas miracle for her boys... Highly recommend!
I have love the Costa family from the start and I hate that this is the final story. Youngest brother Nico with all his secrets and flirtatious attitude gets his HEA. Hope has the exact opposite family of the Costa’s - none. Except for an evil stepmother and 2 even worse stepsisters. She is working her life away trying to pay off a debt to the evil stepmother when Nico becomes “a job”. They instantly like each other, but he does not know how to act around a girl he likes and is so awkward and cute! This was a great story to go with the series. I really enjoyed how all of the brothers get their HEA at the same time with their own stories.

I admire Hope so much for trying to do what she thinks she should and being kind to everyone even when they certainly didn’t deserve it. Nico is truly an almost perfect book boyfriend. When he decided he wanted to be with Hope, nothing could deter him. He was absolutely all in. If you like a conflicted attraction in your romance and plenty of wit, banter, and love, and an evil villainous villain you love to hate, you should read Nico & Hope and a Partridge in a Pear Tree. It’s the perfect conclusion to the Costa brothers series of books.
Nico - the youngest of the Costa brothers, he's pranked yet again by his older siblings, and meets Hope, while she's working on of her many jobs. Hope is the youngest sister in this wonderful Cinderella retelling. I loved seeing her fall in love with Nico, her very own Prince Charming. I've especially enjoyed the Santa letters at the beginning and end of each book. Hope's last letter to Santa gives the sweetest update of her new life with Nico. Hope has lost all hope that her life will improve, still living with her step mom and step sisters who only see her as a tool and not a person. Nico is the baby of the family and feels often overlooked and ignored by his family. When he crosses paths with Hope, will he be able to find love and will Hope finally have the family she has longed for?
A sweet take on Cinderella plus with all the fun of the Costa brothers!.

I really got into Nico's story. He is always treated like a baby being the youngest boy and not so great with the ladies so he is set up with a Christmas o gram girl for a three hour package deal. I loved the approach the author took with this story line and the way it unfolds with surprises along the way. This book is a great way to wrap up the series and definitely read the bonus you can find a link to at the end. Also needs to be read with the rest of the series to get the most enjoyment of this story.
Loved Hope who is down on working herself between 4 jobs. But Hope remains having a positive outlook. When she does a Christmas singing telegram for Nico, she feels like life is brighter. Nico has never found love but finds that Hope is beautiful and bright and he wants to spend time with her. When Hope and Nico fake an engagement her stepmom and step sisters continue to be meN and cruel. Nico will.do anything to make Hope's life better as he has fallen as fast as she. The Costa famiky love Hope but dislike her family.. or are they really her family...
I love this Cinderella retelling. Hope is a bright Christmas ball of happiness weighed down by her evil step family who meets Nico at one of her many paid jobs. Attraction blooms as Nico spends time with her, especially once he encounters her Steps. There is a lot of fun, mixed in with drama, as Nico and his family support Holly. I also really enjoyed the bonus series epilogue for this truly delightful and fun family series. I received an ARC of this book but voluntarily leave this review.
We finally arrive at the youngest Costa brother’s story and it’s my new favorite. Poor Nico hasn’t even had his first kiss yet when he meets and falls in love with Hope in an adorable love at first sight meeting. Hope has her own problems as she continually gets walked all over by her stepfamily.
Nonetheless, Nico and Hope are determined to get their HEA. I have loved meeting and getting to know all of the Costa siblings and their families.
This is the last in the series and Im a bit sad for It. But I love this one a lot! The Cinderella story inspired is just so unique and I love that Nico, as the youngest brother is so sweet and naive in some aspects. I also like a lot the never-kissed-before thing in a man! It's just soo cute!! Hope it's also so cool and I have enjoyed reading she and Nico together. Cant wait to read more Ellie's stories in the Makeover series and the new one series that are looming very soon!
Nico and Hope have such a good story. It is reminiscent of the fairytale, “Cinderella “ of course. Hope spends a lot of time working four jobs to pay a debt to her stepmother. One of the jobs happens to be as a Christmas-gift-o-gram. Her first customer was Nico. Someone in his family had set him up to receive the gift. I highly recommend this book for a fun, entertaining, and wonderful Christmas story.
I have mixed emotions with this one. On one hand, I'm sad because this is the last book of the Costa Brothers' series and I'm gonna miss them so much, but on the other hand I'm sooo happy 'cause this book is just what I needed and I got to see more of the baby of the family, Nico <3
I honestly didn't expect the Cinderella story references, but I loved how Ellie make them part of Hope's story.
Also I LOOOOVE fake dating so this one was purr-fect (see what I did there? 'Cause Nico and Hope love cats) The fact that the knew each other before, the likes and dislikes, was so cute! And the impORTANCE OF CHOCOLATE! C'MON!! I loved it!! In some moments my heart ached for Hope, but at the end everything turned out amazing for her and for Nico 🥰
