Yay, she answered! And I'm so glad Farid will be in the sequels! I really need to go and reread the Inkheart trilogy now to gear myself up asap!

I just stumbled across this thread. I am so EXCITED to get a sequel series. My mom actually bought the Inkworld series for my little sister and I read them (more like devoured them) and took them from my sister. Then when the movie came out I went to the first showing. Any news on the series?!?

Even now 3 years later, reading this makes me smile! I cant wait for the day the the sequel is available (in english) to buy. This is still one of my all time favourite series and im 33.

I've never been this happy. I love the Inkheart trilogy and Inkheart was actually the book that made me love books! Can't wait for the sequel!

Cornelia Funke is one of my absolute (German) favorite authors and has been since childhood. Her books accompanied me through childhood and adolescence. It all started with The Wild Chickens, Thief Lord, the Inkworld trilogy and the Mirror World series, also known as Reckless. I hope there will be a few more books to come... They were friends, comforters and so much more. Not least because of the beautiful, detailed illustrations. Her style of writing made a significant contribution to the fact that I not only became a bookworm, but also discovered the love of writing myself. This has always accompanied me. A few days ago I found out by accident that there will be a fourth volume. At first I thought I had read it wrong, but then I was even happier. Let's see how it will be, after what feels like an eternity, to dive back into the world of ink, this time as a young adult... I'll most likely read through the first three german volumes again beforehand. All of them I have on my bulging bookshelf. I'm curious how it will continue... It won't be that long before the fourth volume of Ink World comes out and anticipation is often the best or most beautiful joy.
