I have no words yet to truly describe the amount of awesome this book is. It was hot, it was heart breaking, it was raw, it was funny, and passionate, it was exactly like the title reads; REAL. I cannot wait for the sequel!!!!!! WOW! I need more stars!

From the very start I could tell this book was going to be good. It also didn窶冲 take me long to realize that the main characters were going to become one of my favourite ever book couples. The sexual tension between Remy and Brooke was so scorching I thought my kindle would spontaneously combust. Their chemistry was so intense that even a mere glance between them was somehow incredibly hot.

I think I might have a teeny, tiny thing for fighters (think Travis Maddox and Jonah Slade (from Fighting the Flight)). I was swooning from simply reading the blurb. And while the blurb is intense, it doesn't even begin to describe the book itself.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Once I started it I couldn't put it down. I went into this book with no expectations- had seen it mentioned on several sites and it was recommended to me. So happy that I read it.
A moving and honest portrayal of bipolar disorder.
And the way that Remy used music to express himself- so beautiful. I love how their relationship grows- even with the difficulties they have. Brooke and Remy are just fantastic- and with no cliffhanger- squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Can't wait to read more ...more

There窶冱 so much I liked about REAL by Katy Evans. The characters, the story, the pacing, the tension, the twists and turns that I totally should have seen coming but I was so caught up in the story that I couldn窶冲 stop to think; and last but not least窶杯he author herself.

Without giving it all away, here窶冱 what you should know:

Remy is lovely. We窶决e all talking about him, as we should be, but we should be talking about Brooke, too. It窶冱 not every day that I like a female lead, I窶冤l admit it. Most There窶冱 so much I liked about REAL by Katy Evans. The characters, the story, the pacing, the tension, the twists and turns that I totally should have seen coming but I was so caught up in the story that I couldn窶冲 stop to think; and last but not least窶杯he author herself.

Without giving it all away, here窶冱 what you should know:

Remy is lovely. We窶决e all talking about him, as we should be, but we should be talking about Brooke, too. It窶冱 not every day that I like a female lead, I窶冤l admit it. Most of the time, I窶冦 annoyed, I COMPLETELY disagree with their decisions, I think they overreact or put up with too much crap, and otherwise, I want to toss them out a window窶巴ut I like Brooke! She窶冱 smart, has a life and goals outside of this relationship, she窶冱 tough, she holds her ground but she knows when to give, too. She窶冱 willing to sacrifice but don窶冲 walk all over her. The one time I wanted to drag her back by her hair, I still completely understood why she made the decisions that she did. And she窶冱 not a lip-biting virgin! Thank you sweet baby Jesus!

On to Remy! A man of few words who still completely comes through right from the beginning. He窶冱 alpha and primal and so, so strong, and yet, over and over, I thought of Ingrid Michaelson (in 窶廣 Bird窶冱 Song窶�)窶披徂ow fragile are the very strong.窶� He窶冱 messy in the best ways, and he will completely break you down. Let him. He窶冱 totally worth the ride.

The supporting characters are people you窶囘 actually really like to know. They do more than just move the action along; they build a foundation for the story and the two main characters. These characters are family, and their love and loyalty for Brooke and Remy give us a back-story that Ms. Evans never even had to write. A well-done character speaks volumes in just a few words. Kudos to Melanie (hilarious!), and Pete and Riley!

The story moves and rolls and it always, always takes you with it. There窶冱 no dog-earing these pages窶輩ou just keep turning. I can窶冲 say I窶囘 ever even thought about an underground fight club circuit before, but I窶冦 starting to think I窶况e been missing out. Ms. Evans weaves a plot you窶冤l be stuck in窶蚤nd happily so. The pacing is right on and the tension is delicious!

Brooke and Remy窶冱 relationship is effortless from the first zing of connection and it窶冱 also a struggle to let it take flight. It窶冱 real that way. We have two characters as human as you and I, moving toward and away from something at the same time. I love the dedication to the undefined, to the feeling of connection, to the 窶廬 don窶冲 know how I know this is right but I KNOW this is right.窶� And I love, love, love the theme of wanting to be known and seen, and at the same time, seeing yourself more clearly through someone else窶冱 eyes. Sometimes it takes another set of eyes to help us see ourselves, and the moments when Remy starts to do that were so quietly lovely.

And finally, our author, Katy Evans. Thank you for not spoon-feeding me everything you wanted me to know. Thank you for setting me up and letting me walk into a surprise. 窶廾f course!窶� I said after, even though I didn窶冲 really see it coming because I was too caught up in the story to stop and think.:) Thank you for showing me instead of telling me everything. Thank you for giving me this world that I want to step back into again and again.

The writing was awesome and the tension that Katy Evans created between Brooke and Remington was fabulous to say the least. 4.5 stars ~ I absolutely LOVED Remington Tate! This book drew me in from the very beginning and I could not put it down. It had it all...great story, sexy and HOT male, strong woman, and STEAM! Good Lord Remy had it going on! My heart broke for him over and over again. The wait for them to finally be together was excruciating but so worth it. I cannot wait to read the next 2 books in the series!
