The first part was really amazing: I loved Rin immediately and it was really interesting to follow her story. Rin was so likable character.
The second part was totally different and it took some time to get used to it. After somehow peaceful beginning the rest of book was about war. There were some really cruel scenes, and I actually liked them. There weren't unnecessary cruel incidents.

Whew. Maybe it wasn’t smart to do the whole “I’ll read all the most popular series that I’ve never read” thing in one month; because If THIS is how it starts, I’ll be an empty husk by the time I finish this series and jump into Six of Crows right after.
I literally don’t have words for this book.
