"But what does it say about us that so much of the entertainment we consume is about killing women?"

Equal parts thriller slasher and asking great questions like the one above. I loved how it was centered around Final Girls and getting their backstories. Because what does happen after the credits roll, after they get out of the hospital. They have to put their lives together and the years go on even if they aren't happy ones. This was entertaining! It is the second book by this author I have enjoyed. I was reminded of all the horror movie franchises I enjoyed when I was younger, starting with Friday the 13th. I went back and forth on who was behind everything so the author did a great job with keeping me guessing the who and why. If you enjoyed the horror movies that had final girls this book is for you. Definitely put it on your TBR.

Sadly I must say that this has been my least favorite of Hendrix窶冱 books. I will however continue to read any of his future works to see if he can capture that magic once again.

Okay I didn't really like the story set-up of this one. I found myself not caring about or liking any of the main characters except for maybe Fine (the plant) that was the true MVP right there lol. Lynette窶冱 paranoid behavior and little quirks were enjoyable to read at first, but by the end I was like okay I we get every ...more
