“Anyone can fail at something they really don鈥檛 want. What really takes courage is going after something you want and then failing. There is more fulfillment in life knowing that you tried, rather than settled without a fight.”

“Sometimes, we expect life to work a certain way and when it doesn鈥檛 we blame others or see it as a sign, rather than face the pain of the choices we should or shouldn鈥檛 have made. Real healing won鈥檛 begin until we stop saying, 鈥淕od prevented this or that.鈥 Often in our attempt to protect ourselves from pain, we leave things to fate and don鈥檛 take chances. Or, we don鈥檛 work hard enough to keep the blessings we are given. Maybe, we didn't recognize a blessing, until it was too late. Often, it is the lies we tell ourselves that keeps us stuck in a delusion of not being responsible for our lives. We leave it all up to God. The truth is we are not leaves blowing toward our destiny without any control. To believe this is to take away our freedom of choice and that of others. The final stage of grief is acceptance. This can鈥檛 be reached through always believing God willed the outcomes in our lives, despite our inaction or actions. To think so is to take the easy escape from our accountability. Sometimes, God has nothing to do with it. Sometimes, we just screwed up and guarded our heart from accepting it, by putting our outcome on God as the reason it turned out the way it did. Faith is a beautiful thing, but without work we can give into a mysticism of destiny that really doesn't teach us lessons or consequences for our actions. Life then becomes a distorted delusion of no accountability with God always to blame for battles we walked away from, won or loss.”

“It was quite a beautiful thing, the way we simply just came to be. With no effort or trying, just slowly finding each other鈥檚 hands in the dark. No chains or promises, just a simple sign of hope
that things will go on and get better.”

“Sometimes things aren鈥檛 impossible the first time I try, because I don鈥檛 know they鈥檙e impossible yet. I probably couldn鈥檛 do it again, though.”

“If someone is not spiritually present during a time when you need their help, then how will their physical presence make a difference?”

“Failure to put the relationship on a slower timetable may result in an act that was never intended in the first place. Another important principle is to avoid the circumstances where compromise is likely. A girl who wants to preserve her virginity should not find herself in a house or dorm room alone with someone to whom she is attracted. Nor should she single-date with someone she has reason not to trust. A guy who wants to be moral should stay away from the girl he knows would go to bed with him. Remember the words of Solomon to his son, 鈥淜eep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house鈥 (Proverbs 5:8). I know this advice sounds very narrow in a day when virginity is mocked and chastity is considered old-fashioned. But I don鈥檛 apologize for it. The Scriptures are eternal, and God鈥檚 standards of right and wrong do not change with the whims of culture. He will honor and help those who are trying to follow His commandments. In fact, the apostle Paul said, 鈥淗e will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear鈥 (1Corinthians 10:13). Hold that promise and continue to use your head. You鈥檒l be glad you did.”

“Should-haves are the devil鈥檚 greatest tool against our personal progress. He shouts in our ears that they are failures, while God calmly whispers they are lessons.”

“Do not be afraid to try something new. The cost of playing it safe all the time could far exceed the cost of daring to change.”

“Ignoring phone calls leads to a simple life with more free time. Ignoring emails works well also! I do both when I am trying to get things done.”

“I'm getting a daily email from Microsoft which I have been ignoring that states a hacker is trying to access my account. As far as the Microsoft account goes, the hacker can have it...along with all of the nasty Windows 10 upgrade problems!”

“Putting 100% effort into "trying" will always make you successful. With that in mind it's important to remember that the effort part is never easy.”

“Bagaimana mungkin kamu tahu bakal berhasil atau gagal, kalau belum mencoba? Sebelum berusaha, kamu udan memvonis bahwa kamu akan gagal. Kita kan tidak pernah tahu apa yang akan terjadi. Kenapa tidak berusaha dulu?”

“Athletes train 15 years for 15 seconds of performance. Ask them if they got lucky. Ask an athlete how he feels after a good workout. He will tell you that he feels spent. If he doesn't feel that way, it means he hasn't worked out to his maximum ability.
Losers think life is unfair. They think only of their bad breaks. They don't consider that the person who is prepared and playing well still got the same bad breaks but overcame them. That is the difference. His threshold for tolerating pain becomes higher because in the end he is not training so much for the game but for his character. Alexander Graham Bell was desperately trying to invent a hearing aid for his partially deaf wife. He failed at inventing a hearing aid but in the process discovered the principles of the telephone. You wouldn't call someone like that lucky, would you?Good luck is when opportunity meets preparation. Without effort and preparation, lucky coincidences don't happen.”

“Well, that brings us to the point: There is only one way to protect ourselves from the deadly diseases that stalk the human family. It is abstinence before marriage, then marriage and mutual fidelity for life to an uninfected partner. Anything less is foolhardy and potentially suicidal. Don't let anyone tell you differently. There is no such thing as "safe sex," just as there is no "safe sin." For thousands of years, people have been trying to find ways to disobey the laws of God without suffering the consequences. It can't be done. Scripture tells us that the wages of sin is death, and we'd better believe it!”
