After a traumatic relationship, Emily goes looking for a job and happens on a 'receptionist wanted' postition at Wishbone Tattoos. And what an interesting place it is! The cast of characters at the tattoo parlour are lots of fun, from fiesty Sadie to mute cousin Dean who does mischevious sign language. I enjoyed every one, including the annoying girl who's interested in Eli. Fortunately he's only got eyes for Emily. But Eli has his own past relationship issues and is harboring a secret that means he's sworn to stay single.

This is a marvellous slow burn romance, great tension in the build up and lots of fun and twists and turns. I would highly recommend!

Even better when Zander seems equally interested and offers to catch her if she falls.

I loved the gorgeous Zander and the instant connection between the two main characters. The idea that they had very different backgrounds was really great and both their concerns and worries really well written. This is a great read and reminds me of the early Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child, except with a female protagonist. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what Mabel tackles next!
