I would highly recommend this book. It is a clever, thrilling read that keeps you guessing from the outset. The complexity of both the characters and the story is gradually unveiled throughout the book making it very hard to put down. Perhaps my favourite aspect of the book (in addition to the beautiful description of the Peak District) is the way the author refuses to polarise the characters allowing the reader to maintain a connection with them throughout, despite some shocking events. My only complaint is for the embarrassment caused by crying on a rush hour tube!
