I think the characters are somewhat believable. Other than the fact that they have magical powers, the characters seem to live an ordinary life. My favorite character in this book was Gabe, Asher’s older brother. Oldest of three and no parents, Gabe has to raise Asher and his sister. I relate to Gabe in a way because I am also the oldest of three and I have the responsibility of taking care of them sometimes. I would probably give this book a four and a half out of five. I really admired this book, but some parts were a little boring. Other than that, I loved this book. If you liked Fallen and/or Teardrop by Lauren Kate, or Gone by Michael Grant, you will LOVE Touched. The Touched series is called the Sense Thieves.

Remy’s real father, Ben takes her to his house to raise her in a more warm and comforting house. But Remy is hiding something from Ben and her step sister. Remy can heal people. Not only can she heal people, but she can also let out a burst of energy at somebody, forcing them back. There are more Healers in her world, hiding their identity, but the way Remy heals is not anything like the way other Healers heal. When Remy heals somebody, she gets their pain or disease. So when Remy meets Asher, she can’t stop herself from healing him. And by healing Asher, everything in Remy O’Malley’s world changed.
I really enjoyed this novel. Not only was it intense, but it was sad, sweet, and enjoyable. I think the characters are somewhat believable. Other than the fact that they have magical powers, the characters seem to live an ordinary life. My favorite character in this book was Gabe, Asher’s older brother. Oldest of three and no parents, Gabe has to raise Asher and his sister. I relate to Gabe in a way because I am also the oldest of three and I have the responsibility of taking care of them sometimes. I would probably give this book a four and a half out of five. I really admired this book, but some parts were a little boring. Other than that, I loved this book. If you liked Fallen and/or Teardrop by Lauren Kate, or Gone by Michael Grant, you will LOVE Touched. The Touched series is called the Sense Thieves.

Fallen by Lauren Kate is fantasy book about a girl, Luce who starts at a new school. With no access to phones, Luce has to learn to survive with a bunch of rather peculiar children. Immediately, Luce meets some girls named Arianne and Penn. They all become best friends and everything is fine until Luce meets Daniel. That’s when things get tough. With a dramatic love story in Luce’s past, she thinks she is capable of handling love with Daniel. But Luce might be in danger with Daniel and it’s because at the school, there’s something that mortals don’t know. I really enjoyed this book because it kept me on the edge of my chair, wanting to know more throughout the whole story. The characters were not credible because it is a make-believe story, but I still really loved this book. I could never put this book down, and I read 3/4 of the book in one day. Honestly, I would give this book five out of five stars. This book was a ‘never want it to end’ kind of novel. If you like The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, you will love Fallen.
