Reading for the 2nd time. Most recently started May 16, 2025.
Another masterpiece of dry wit and warm charm. This series keeps getting better, which is impressive because when you get right down to it, nothing much really happens. But somehow "nothing much" is a real page turner.
The bad news is my wife is concerned about things randomly disappearing around the house, only to reappear a few days later in random places. I tried explaining The Roman, and how she needs only place a white feather on anything truly important, but for whatever reason she now refers to me as "daft".
I think her disapproval has more to do with my new wardrobe of silk morning robes. Some people have no appreciation of true panache.
