Hey guys, I'm the creator
I created this group to bring people close together and talk about books and anything bookish. I hope that you make new friends and maybe get some reading buddies. Feel free to create threads or polls about the books you want to discuss. If anyone notices any bullying or hateful comments feel free to message me.
Plus, I'd like to say to anyone who might be in need of a friend or an advice, that I might be a stranger but I am here for anyone who needs any help.

Marisa Poltrack [book whisperer] | 52 comments Hello my fellow Bookish Kingdom members!!

As this is my first group being a moderator I am beyond excited! I read a bunch of different genres but, I will admit I have a weakness for chic lit and young adult! I know, I know but, don't judge me! haha I am doing the 2017 Popsugar Challenge so a lot of the books I read will be tailored to that. I am always open to book recommendations and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns! I can't wait to connect with you all!!

Happy reading!
Marisa

I am excited to be a moderator of this group and welcome you to contact me with any questions or concerns. My moniker is The Genre Minx because I like to read across all genre's. I am also a book reviewer and blogger at The Genre Minx Book Reviews. I look forward to discussing all things bookish with you.

Cheers!

Hi everyone!

This is my first time being a moderator as well and I'm superexcited! I love reading sci-fi, fantasy, thrillers, detectives and contemporary. I occasionally write short stories on wattpad (AylaAvery).
Feel free to message me when you have any questions or notice a hateful comment.

I'm looking forward to talk about books with you all!
Ayla

Caity (adivineeternity) | 19 comments Hello!

This is my first tim- waaaaiiit...

This is the first non-moderator post! Hurray! Like Marisa, I am doing the Popsugar Challenge this year and, like Ayla, I love sci-fi and fantasy, but I will branch out into a loooot of different genres. I tend to read whatever strikes my fancy. I recently started writing a review/my thoughts/whatever I feel like writing for every book I read on my book blog. I can provide a link somewhere if we want to set up a folder or a thread just for blogs, instagrams, etc.?

I'm looking forward to discussing books with everybody!

Caity <3

Welcome Caity!
I'll try to create a thread for bookbloggers and bookstagrammers :)

message 7: by Bonita (new)

Bonita Hi!

I'm not a moderator but am really excited about this group! Thanks for the invite, Minx. I read a lot of different genres depending on my mood and what the latest challenge calls for. My comfort reads are romance and mystery; when I'm feeling adventurous, I read fantasy, sci-fi and historical fiction. I'm looking forward to watching my TBR grow quickly!

Good luck!

Bonita

Oh, last time I bragged about spring, I woke up the next morning to find my snowy yard. Today it's just simply cold)).
Anyway, New York is the home of my fave art-deco buildings so there's some envy, take it :)

Sissy Lu {Book Savvy Reviews} Heya!

I'm Sissy, I'm 30, married and have two youngins! I love reading..mostly Fantasy in any sort of way. I enjoy captivating reads with complex characters. I'm a book reviewer and run the book blog Book Savvy Reviews.

I enjoy finding other book fiends who I can squeal with or groan with.. I LOVE doing buddy reads because it helps me sit down and get to it. Also, it helps me dip into my ever growing TBR and stop coming up with excuses... ;)

I make soy candles in my spare time, crochet and knit, horseback ride... xD And running!

Hey! Oh, I bet spring in Texas is way warmer :D And I also am excited to steal a few ideas from your shelves :)
So far, I have 3 books lined up (all three are mötley crew memoirs. Those guys just keep releasing books, aren't they?). But that's what I get for shopping impulsively...

Hi, Sissy! Complex characters are the best, right?) I'm always so impressed with book bloggers - under all the fun it's so much responsibility!
Horse riding is a dream of mine! I tried so long ago, and I still haven't gotten around to try again(. But it's right there in my bucket list, along with learning to play piano (that I actually started), and writing at least 9 more books).

Isn't it funny how many people are releasing memoirs now? Impulsive shopping...for books?? Nope, never have I done that....quietly pushes book stacks behind a desk......lol

message 22: by Celia (new)

Celia (cinbread19) I love to read - but that should not surprise you.

My favorite genres are contemporary fiction and historical fiction. I read some non-fiction too: biographies, history and spiritual.

I have recently been turned on to science fiction and fantasy too, even though those genres are in the minority.

My favorite book of all time is A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles.

My non-book interests are duplicate bridge and singing.

I bless the day I found ÀÏ»¢»úÎÈÓ®·½·¨. I have so many friends who have been kind to me and encouraged my reading.

I look forward to contributing positively to the Bookish Kingdom Group.

Jessica Jesinghaus (jessjesinghhaus) | 8 comments Hey there everybody! Looking forward to exploring this new group. I'm a reader / writer / blogger who loves all things indie. I'm a huge fan & supporter of indie author reads because, let's face it, indie books are a freakin' gold mine! So many great, under-appreciated indie books to choose from, so little time.

I'm less concerned with genre than a good story, but if I had to pick favorites I'd say mystery/thriller, fantasy, YA (I read aloud to the hubby & two kids a lot), and anything paranormal.

My singing history includes a jazz quartet in high school (we entertained at local VFW's, etc), barbershop and church choir. Right now my singing is limited to church.

My favorite 'singing' novel is Bel Canto by Ann Patchett.

I loved the book too. It takes place in Indiana and I was born there. It was especially fun learning about attractions I had never heard of before. Very clever premise.

That is great, church choirs usually get the best singers). I used to sing in choir in school, but those were dark times - too many tone-deaf classmates, joining just to miss classes)).
Nowadays I do karaoke (yeah, my music teacher doesn't approve).

Alicia | 8 comments Hey guys! Thanks for inviting me into this group. I love to find new reads and connect with new people who enjoy the same books as I do. I really love the fantasy genre and young adult. Throw them together and it's like heaven for me!!

I teach math during the day and read at night. I'm a bit of an odd one, but the kids enjoy it. I am always looking for new book suggestions, even then my TBR list is HUGE!!!!

Can't wait to see what knew stuff I find!

Hi Alicia!
Young Adult fantasy books are AMAZING. Do you like YA sci-fi as well? I recently read 'Ready Player One', a YA sci-fi novel. I'd definitely recommend that one if you'd like to give sci-fi a try and love 80's pop-culture :)

Hello Alex!

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ (mckennamuse) | 16 comments Hi Everyone!

I'm Becky from Oklahoma! I received an invite to your group from Minx! We survived played the big WOBBLE challenge several months ago on the same team and had a blast! Isn't she fun?

Obviously, I'm a HUGE book fanatic and enjoy reading most of the genres. It's hard to find a favorite and usually depends on my mood. Lately I've read a lot of Historical Fiction and Historical Romance, but I'll always find room for Urban Fantasy, Classics, Space Opera, Mysteries and Crime Thrillers! See? I can't decided what to read next. I usually need a challenge to keep from going insane over the next choice. HA!

Nice to meet all of you! A big THANKS! to Minx for the invite!
