Hello and welcome to the Slytherin team Severus Snape!

I hope you are all rearing to go and have your wands, brooms, spells and potions at the ready. :-)

All the important information you need to read through to be able to play Tower Teams has been linked in one of the above posts. For any questions that are not answered in "All about Tower Teams" or any other thread the mods put up, please feel free to ask in this thread. Snape may not be the best teacher and sometimes a very intimidating fellow, but I promise, LaurLa and I will do our best to answer all your questions without scarring you for life, or if our spell books don't have the answer, we'll revert back to the mods for help.

The most important thing is to read and have fun!

In case you haven't read all or any of the Harry Potter books, or you think a re-read is long overdue, this is your chance! There are buddy reads set up for the purpose of this challenge (linked above) and you can jump into those to gain some extra points for the team.

And if you feel like it, please introduce yourselves a little but no need to get personal if you don't want to. Naming a few favourite books will do the trick as well.

Things to do once the challenge starts:
- Full completion posts please. Those include, at least: title, date read, page number and if applicable, whatever tasks the book might fit.

I'm kind of glad that it doesn't start right away, because I still have 2 books to finish before Tower Teams begin - or well, you know. I'll try to finish. With the pace I'm going at the moment, I'll be finished at the end of July haha ;-)

You're great with a deadline! I have total faith that you'll be done in time :)

I've got a mammoth audio on the go, which I won't've finished, but otherwise I think I'll be clean slate by Friday, and chomping at the bit!

If I stop falling asleep after just 2 pages every time I pick up either book, maybe it'll work out. But it's around 400 pages total before the weekend. Tomorrow IS a bank holiday though, so we'll see.

Of course you have a mammoth audio on the go haha. Hopefully a good one!

Here is my shelf Tower-2018

This is my first time doing Tower Teams. I have participated in UNO twice and see some familiar names from there. I've got two audiobooks and two books I'm in the middle of. I know I won't finish all of them by Friday. One of the audiobooks is pretty big.

I read a little bit of pretty much everything except horror (I don't like being scared). Some of my favorite books are: , , , , and .

Also, I love Alan Rickman and excited to be on the Snape team.

I've been reading them as they were released with calendar notes for when the next book was released. I finished the series up last year, and I loved all the books.

I've been meaning to read the second one but didn't get around to it and Uno wasn't very good for bigger books this time around (not for me anyway, Cat read doorstops anyhow hehe).

A friend recommend the Hollows series when I said I loved the Fever series (the 1st 5 books).

Did you read the series?
I'm enjoying the first book so far though it's a little unusual and I'm still not quite sure what to make of the main character yet.

Not yet. I checked how many books there were. I'm just not ready to commit yet ;) I need to finish the PsyChangeling series by Nalini Singh. Now that Kate Daniels is coming to an end, I might be open to start another long series.

Psy-Changeling is a very good series! I love the setting and story that is followed through every book despite changing main characters. Which book are you on?

I finished book 9 a few days ago, Hawke's story coming up soon. I'm rushing through the past few books as I want to get to Kaleb's story already! The series sometimes reminds me of Anne Bishop's The Others. I really enjoyed that series but she should've taken a few lessons from Nalini Singh! I can't believe that ending! Hmf

I've heard that a few times now that people were disappointed with the ending of The Others. I still haven't read book #4, so way behind on that one!

Ah cool, I just finished book 8 in the Psy-Changeling series at the end of April and might pick up book 9 as one of my first books for Tower Teams. Agreed!! Cannot wait to get to Kaleb's story!! He's fascinating.

Funny because before Etched in Bone happened, I was almost always recommending The Others to UF readers. And then that book happened. Huh! I still think it was a good series but seriously, the whole point was Meg and Simon. I can't comment much without being spoilery so... yup, I'd love to know how Kaleb thinks!

I enjoy fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, science, history, and non-fiction. My absolute favorite book is The Lord of the Rings. I also greatly enjoy Waiting for Godot, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Picture of Dorian Grey, Catch-22, and The Nights Dawn Trilogy.

Hi all!!! Popping in to say hey and let E know I haven't abandoned her as CC. Today was crazy and stressful at work. I had not a single second to sneak a look at GR! I hate when work gets in the way of GR-ing :-D

I think I am truly a Slytherin even though snakes normally give me the willies... But there are certain traits that match, to be sure.

Looking forward to getting to know new names and faces!

I read too much too fast. If told you what I'm currently reading, it will have changed by the time most of you read this ;-) But for the record, I finished Welcome to Last Chance this evening and will be starting When He Was Wicked for a few minutes before sleepy time then on the drive to work tomorrow.
