Kate S | 6459 comments While not required, many find it helpful to have a place to plan. Please feel free to plan your AbBY reading list here.

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14074 comments I have several duplicates in my list, so I'll not post the entire plan. But it definitely starts with

1911-1915: Palladian by Elizabeth Taylor (born 1912)
1916-1920: The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson (born 1916)

and continues through

1961-1965, where I have options. This provides 11 ranges, so allows me to skip one, should I find the chosen book for one range not to my liking

Valerie Brown | 3196 comments If I manage to complete this it will knock off 6(!!) books off my real life book shelves, and 2 off my A-Z Classic challenge:

Well, the library had an opinion about my list, so have to change my second book which was one of my A-Z books (the hold ended sooner than expected)!

I realized if I jog things around the wrench the library threw might not ruin the whole plan. So, adding another 5 years....

1930-34 Tigerlily's Orchids by Ruth Rendell (born 1930) ***< ended up not using this date range, instead started with next one***

1935-39 Anne Perry's Silent Nights: A Christmas Beginning / A Christmas Grace by Anne Perry (born 1938) or Ringworld by Larry Niven

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14074 comments Ed wrote: "If anyone has the inclination, could you review my plan /topic/show/... and let me know if there are any glaring mistakes? Thanks in advance."

I notice that you have only 18 ranges - not enough for 2 trips, and too many to skip only one.

Two books are YA with a low lexile, so not allowed for AbBY: And Then There Were None and The Book Thief

If you really want to read a Christie, there are some that qualify. Let me know while I have the database open.

Ed Lehman | 2638 comments Oh...yes...please let me know about which Christie books work.

Yes...I know I have too few for two trips.... just don't know where I will start yet.... and may just do 1 complete trip with the start of a second...I doubt that I get to read 40 books this season.

Thanks for letting me know about The Book Thief too!
