Updated Policy on Kindle Vella Stories

We’ve got an update on a policy change we’re making. As long as they have a valid ASIN, incomplete Kindle Vella stories will now be included in the catalog. This change is being made as ÀÏ»¢»úÎÈÓ®·½·¨ members are already shelving in-progress Vella stories so automatically importing this content will help our members track their reading more easily. This new policy also ensures we do not create extra work for Librarians and staff to remove incomplete Kindle Vella stories and then make them public again upon completion.
This change will be an amendment to the current policy excluding incomplete and in progress works from the catalog and will only apply to Kindle Vella stories. This should not be confused with Kindle Vella episodes, which are individual sections of a story and should not be added to ÀÏ»¢»úÎÈÓ®·½·¨. The Librarian Manual entry for items has been updated.
The policy for creative online writing, like fan fiction and Wattpad works, will remain unchanged. Most sites that host incomplete stories do not intend to distribute these as a professional, commercial output like books and Kindle Vellas.
