How it Fits: Cindy (a reporter) & Rich Conklin (a cop) date, get engaged and break-up because she gets nervous about having children. He moves out & lives in his car for a few nights & begins to date his intern who is in love with a serial killer and has had the serial killer's child. She (the intern) becomes a serial killer herself after her lover is killed.
Cindy tracks her. Conklin dates another new person. Cindy gets shot while tracking down the female serial killer. They get back together while she is in the hospital.
