What do you think of their similarities/differences?

Both try to push the girl away (Will more than Jace though)
Both have mysterious pasts
Both have similar personality traits like recklessness and sarcasm etc

Can't really compare this because this was in later books for Jace and obviously we don't have that with Will but differences is that Jace wanted to be with Clary and would do anything to be with her (even though he thought they were brother & sister), Will probs wants to be with Tessa but would do anything to not be with her, like insult/hurt her and going to see Magnus maybe. Connected with Tessa?

yes also Will is actually meaner

we can't be sure about that, MI has already revealed most about Jace. while we only have CA to base Will's character, and the book mostly revealed about Tessa and Jem's story while Will remains a mystery.

they actually have a lot in common, there both Herondale, gorgeous and witty. maybe that really runs in their blood aside from the Angels blood in their veins,,,
for their differences well they live in different era, which gives distinction between them.
I'm pretty sure that by the time the ID is finish, we will find a reasonable explanation for Will's behavior,.

jace is more charming. i don't really think there's a good explanation for will's behavior.

Yeah we'll probs find out he was being 'self-sacrificing'. I hate when guys are like that. Just be selfish and date the girl!!!

well the author said that whats bothering Will unlike Jace its not his past, its an ongoing problem for him. And I think if I remember it right, it's because of his dad, thats another thing that they have in common, family issues.
we still have 2 more books to find out, everyone do thing for a personal reason, so as with Will.

Really? That's interesting. Yeah I wouldn't judge Will too harsh because there still is two books left.

I've decided Jace is my favourite (...at the moment)
I didn't quite "connect" with Will like I thought I would, maybe that's because we don't know as much about him but I just like Jace better. I find him funnier.

And there is definately a reason for William's behavior if you just read the last part between him and Tessa it was killing him

Jace is better in so many ways. i didnt liked Will's character, he seems like a very mean boy. Jem's charming BUT too boring. it's like Clare divided Jace into two. will is jace's bad side, and jem's jace's good and smart side. i like neither. i wish another guy character will show up.

I agree. I mean...Will is extremely amusing, and Jem is so incredibly sweet...I've connected with the characters, but I feel there was a bigger draw to Jace. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed reading CA. Will and Jem together are hilarious. Jace is just too perfect. I don't know how she can write any character better than Jace. :)

true. it's like no character could beat Jace Wayland. i will read The Infernal devices of course. but i'm more excited with CoFA!!! :)

i'm more excited for CoFA too!!! Even though I already read Clockwork Angel. It was really really good but i still like TMI series better.

me too. spin offs never do that great.

but, maybe as i read more of the books in TID series, i'll like it more. bcuz i read the mortal instruments series one after another a few months ago and i was never bored.

i really like the ID series to but i move MI more of corse ive loved MI for more that a year and ID is new
im more excited for CoFA as well and Jace is my all time favorite character

I wish Jace could just travel back in time so I could see Will & Jace together, haha I think it would be reaally funny since they're both BA and have that same witty personality thing going on

Don't forget the herondale scar has to start somewhere and I think it's gonna be in one of the books. Isn't it something like where the Angel touched them or something? and also I'd like to know what Will did to the lightwood sister. :O but I am on Team Jace. I will always be but Will in my opinion is just as amazing. ;) AND i wanna know what Tessa was doing in COG. I heard that she was there to meet Clary because Clary has the odd rune making talent. Then there was she had to go to the future to get a potion from Magnus. I'm just eager as HECK to read COFA and CP

she didnt go the future shes just still alive like Magnus

Will is the first with the star mark (I'm almost positive) ya its were an angel touches them. Tess was at the victory party like every one else. and that book had better come out soon.

whats the victory party where clary and tess are there? Is Tess mentioned in CoG? If she is what page?
