What kind of romance is your favorite to read?

I used to love mostly contemporary but I have recently started to read a lot more Historical and its fast becoming my favorite! How about you?

Camille (camlovesraptors) | 16 comments Historical fiction is definitely at the top of my list.

I highly recommend She Walks in Beauty by Siri Mitchell
&
Lady in Waiting by Susan Meissner

They are both clean, historical fiction reads that I thoroughly enjoyed!

I have Lady in Waiting I have read about 50 pages and just can't get into it. I don't know if its the two stories meshed together or what. I should pick it back up and try to finish it!

Ausjenny | 76 comments I love Historical best, love the western flavour but others are good too. not so much regency.
I like the contemporary ones also.

Elaine Littau | 5 comments I love to write Christian Historical/Western Fiction. I guess it is because I have read so much of it.

Kristy (riverunbroken) | 71 comments Heartsong Presents and Love Inspired though I have to admit that I have been reading more Amish books.

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) I love Amish books, and Western/prairie style historicals. I'm pretty open to most historicals, really, and I'm starting to read more contemporary romances. Sometimes I like to read romantic suspense but I'm not a massive fan of it.

Carissa I love Amish books, some contemporary, historical, I also love Love Inspired; Love inspired has books in the three catergoies that I love.

Tina Watson | 10 comments I love Amish Books and have read a few Christian fiction romance books. I have also read Love Inspired books.

Jennifer (texasaggieteacher) | 101 comments Mail ordered Brides are fun, I like the prairie times and War times a lot too. Plus Regency is another fav!

Beth (bbulow) Historical for sure :)

I used to love contemporary but I find historical is probably my 2nd favorite behind Amish fiction.

Karen Baney (karenbaney) | 10 comments It's so hard to pick just one. I would have to say historical is my favorite, with contemporary / chic lit as a second, and suspense third. Although lately I seem to be reading a lot of westerns (historical and contemporary).

I also love to write historicals.

Kimberly | 5 comments I love being transported back in time with historical. I like Regency but I particulary like Westerns/the Civil & Revolutionary Wars. I like mail order brides (or grooms like in Laurie Kingery's Mail Order Cowboy). Amish is good but definitely not a favorite. Overall, anything reflecting history is fascinating to me because I like the idea that it (or at least parts/bits/pieces) truly happened.
