Louise | 280 comments I love weird/original/quirky books, so I thought we could have a list of those too.
(and it would be great to get some recommendations from the rest of you!)

So:
Doctor Olaf van Schuler's Brain
A Wild Sheep Chase
The Book of Dead Days
Be My Enemy
Little Black Book of Stories

Coqueline I love quirky stories!

Some that I can remember on the top of my head:

Getting It in the Head
Zazie in the Metro
Tales of the Unexpected or anything Roald Dahl wrote for adults

Anything by Edward Gorey

Philip Athans (philathans) | 36 comments I don't think I've ever read a wierder book than:

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski

And it's BRILLIANT.

I agree! "Kiss, Kiss" by Roald Dahl is very dark and creepy.

Probably any of the bizarro titles:

Muscle Memory
Bucket of Face
The Egg Said Nothing

And many many many more -- you can find lots listed at bizarrocentral.com .

I also love:

Bigot Hall and The Crime Studio by Steve Aylett, and Gun, with Occasional Music by Jonathan Lethem.

Anything by Kelly Link.

I could go on and on, LOL.

Louise | 280 comments Cool thanks! I'll check out the link right away.

Ellen (elliearcher) Lea, I so love Kelly Link- thanks for reminding me to reread her! And I thought I was the only one who loved Gun, with Occasional Music.

I obviously have to check out your other titles!

Thank you. :)

And I'm going to have to check out yours!

Batsap | 117 comments I find Phillip K Dick's books rather trippy, especially Ubik and Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said.

Injury Time is another slightly off-kilter book.

CD | 170 comments Quirky and weird pretty well encapsulates author Christopher Moore's entire output.

One recent read from his list of works is Island of the Sequined Love Nun.

It has talking fruit bats. I'll leave you to it!

Veronica 猸愶笍 | 10 comments I think Charlotte Raine's Grant and Daniels Series was a little weird and quirky. All the characters had some sort of crazy.
Short reads but full of murder and mayhem.

Midnight Sun
/review/show...

Devil's Dawn I read this in 2015 but I would suggest reading them in order.

Blood Moon
