Why don't we all write every single day this year? Why don't we all work on some story or other each day? Even if you have writer's block, you could write a short short that day.

So, here's the plan: Set a minimum for yourself to write each day (I recommend between 100 and 500 words, as you will be really busy some days). Then every day, write at least that amount of words. You can write five times, ten times your minimum one day, so long as you reach that minimum.

You do not have to keep to just one story during this challenge. You may work on as many or as few stories that you want to, of any genre and any length.

The duration of this challenge is one year. You can start at any point throughout the year (though I will start on January 1st because the new year inspired this group)

Once you have decided to join this challenge create a topic under the appropriate folder with your name. Put the date you started your challenge, and in that thread you may post any updates that you want to. You can even keep track of your total word count for the year (which I recommend. It's amazing how it will seem to go endlessly up, which I discovered during Nanowrimo.) If you wish, you can even set a goal to reach during the year, or a goal for every month.
However, they do not have to be word count updates. They can be updates on stories that you are working on, or, if you prefer short stories, how many short stories you've written (if you prefer long stories, this could be chapters.)

Enjoy yourself and please, feel free to stop by other's threads every so often to offer encouragement or admiration. :P You may also visit the section with prompts.

If you need to see an example, see this thread. It doesn't have to be entirely systematic, it's just a starting point for anybody who has no idea where to start.

If you have questions, please visit the questions thread.
