If Tomorrow Doesn't Come by Jen St. Jude

S.鈥檚 first review of the year

really liked it
4.5? An emotional gut punch for the right audience. Searing representation of clinical depression, painful sapphic yearning, and rediscovering hope within the direst of circumstances.

The Queer Principles of Kit Webb by Cat Sebastian

S.鈥檚 last review of the year

really liked it
4.5? Ahh I love when protagonists communicate in emotionally mature ways, and the book also features fun banter, hijinks, and surprisingly sharp social commentary.

I hadn鈥檛 read much of hers yet, by this point, but quickly found myself considering Cat Sebastian as a must-read authors for the (queer historical) romance genre.
