My new thriller - DANGEROUS BEHAVIOR
When I was first playing with the idea for my next thriller I was driving along Oregon coastal roads with my husband. We were just tooling around and came across a narrow canal with houses on either side and a boat dock off every back yard. It was clear the only way to visit your neighbors without going twenty minutes out of your way was by boat, even though the homes were so close you could almost see straight through them. I started thinking about a group of frenemies on either side of the canal, how they might interact in their own little community, the secrets they would keep. From there my villains, the 鈥渒iller couple鈥 in DANGEROUS BEHAVIOR, were born.
As I started writing, this twosome came alive. I鈥檝e always been partial to dark humor, and as these two thrill-killers developed, I would find myself sometimes fighting laughter. Don鈥檛 get me wrong, they鈥檙e deadly and deadly serious about achieving their own ends at any cost. It鈥檚 just that I love a good bad guy. Their single-sightedness. The way they want what they want, and go after it, to hell with the consequences. I started really looking forward to each and every scene with one or both of them in DANGEROUS BEHAVIOR. It was almost a shame to end their killing spree, even though they both desperately deserved to be found out.

ONE LAST BREATH
As you probably know, I write some books with my sister, Lisa Jackson (think Siren Song and the 鈥渨icked鈥 series.) I also write with Lisa and our friend Rosalind Noonan for a series set in Wyoming with kind of a cowboy feel.
This year Lisa and I branched out and away from the wicked series with a new idea that of a runaway bride as the heroine and a secret baby story running through the plot. Of course we added murder and mayhem to help fuel the story and added a big dose of suspense as well. The result was ONE LAST BREATH and I gotta say, I love it.
We really had fun with this one. Hope you like it as well!
