Kay Arthur is an influential American Bible teacher, author, and co-founder of Precept Ministries International. Known for her passionate commitment to biblical literacy, she has authored dozens of books and Bible studies and has received four ECPA Christian Book Awards. A former nurse, Arthur’s personal spiritual renewal in the early 1960s led her to devote her life to Christian ministry.
With her second husband, Jack Arthur, she founded Precept Ministries International in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which grew from a small Bible study in their home into a global teaching organization. She also hosted the long-running teaching program Precepts for Life, reaching audiences via radio, television, and online platforms.
