A lover of books since she was very young, Mary has always had a passion for reading and writing. She graduated from Appalachian State University in 2012 with a degree in Creative Writing, and self published her first short novel shortly afterward.

How long have you been writing for and what inspired you to do it?
Mary Fonvielle Thanks for the question! I started writing when I was very little. My father is a writer and I have always loved reading, so I guess it was to be expe…m´Ç°ù±ðThanks for the question! I started writing when I was very little. My father is a writer and I have always loved reading, so I guess it was to be expected. When I was around 4-5 my parents would make me little booklets out of stapled printer paper, which I would fill up with stories and pictures. I think the first one I completed was about my experience with the chicken pox, which was a great distraction from the itching.

Later on I would definitely say it was reading that inspired me. I got into fantasy and science fiction around age 12, and started writing my own stories around the same time. I've been writing ever since!(less)
