“People who do not care about your personal or emotional safety are not entitled to your story. Your story is yours. And you get to decide how to tell it.”
Shelly Oria, Indelible in the Hippocampus: Writings from the Me Too Movement

“Does my escape from these men mean another woman had to take my place? A woman who couldn't run as fast as I could? I think about that often.”
Shelly Oria, Indelible in the Hippocampus: Writings from the Me Too Movement

“Let us not be alone. Let us encourage everyone's voice and act as vigilant witnesses. Let us hold one another through the aftermath of telling our stories.”
