REALIZING THE DREAM: An Excerpt from THE MAGICAL PATH by New World Library Publisher Marc Allen

Why don鈥檛 more of us dare to dream, and why don鈥檛 we dare to do whatever we can to fulfill our deepest desires?

In his book The Magical Path: Creating the Life of Your Dreams and a World That Works for All, which is now also available as an audiobook, New World Library publisher and bestselling author Marc Allen explains that it is because most of us are filled with fears that ultimately overwhelm our dreams before they have a chance to become a reality.

鈥淢ost of us fear failure so much that it keeps us from doing the things that we really want to do, the things that make us happy, excited, filled with life,鈥 writes Marc. 鈥淒on鈥檛 let fear overwhelm your dreams. Go for it. You鈥檒l never regret it. You may fail along the way 鈥 in fact you probably will. Yet life goes on. . . . This moment is all we have, and we can, in this moment, create some seriously effective magic, if we wish 鈥 if we dare to dream!鈥

The Magical Path is a short path, one that reaches its destination quickly. We hope you鈥檒l enjoy this short excerpt from the book, which is filled with effective, easy-to-apply practices 鈥 including affirmations, visualizations, and guided meditations 鈥 that can change your life in miraculous ways. Because these tools are so simple and powerful, Marc calls them 鈥渕agic.鈥 But far from esoteric, they are tools anyone can use to achieve their dreams and goals.

Millions of people already have the dream of creating a better world; millions of people are already doing great things. But there鈥檚 so much more to do 鈥 and every one of us can do something. If you don鈥檛 think you have the time, if you don鈥檛 think you have the money, you can still pick up the trash around you as you walk somewhere. You can still recycle; you can still treat people nicely; you can still work in partnership with others.

Everyone can do something
to make the world a better place 鈥
a world that works for all.

The Great Work ahead of us
is replacing the well-entrenched model of domination,
based on fear and a need to control,
with a new way of living,
a new model of partnership,
based on love and respect for all people
and all creation.

So be it. So it is!

Everyone can do something 鈥 so do something, now, today, or at least this week. We鈥檝e got our work cut out for us. We need to house, feed, and educate everyone on the planet. We need to give everyone security and basic human rights, which means we need to bring an end to war, because war is a major violation of human rights. It鈥檚 a big challenge, but it鈥檚 doable. We have had the technology for years; the only thing we lacked was the vision. Now we have the vision: We can create a world that works for all.

What are you doing to help make the world a better place?

Every one of us can help. It doesn鈥檛 matter who we are, whether we鈥檙e rich or poor, optimist or pessimist. It doesn鈥檛 matter what causes we identify with, what labels we use to describe ourselves. It doesn鈥檛 matter whether we鈥檙e conservative or liberal, religious or atheist, spiritual or pragmatic. We鈥檙e all members of the same family, and we can all agree that there is plenty of room for improvement in the world.

The bad news is that the world is a mess. People are starving, homeless, and dying in wars. Far too many people are impoverished, hopeless, and dying from diseases that can be avoided.

The good news is that we can all do something about it. Every one of us can do something to improve our own lives and someone else鈥檚 life as well. We can continue to discover more fully the brilliant power of partnership in our intimate and family relationships, our workplaces and communities, our nation, and our world. Along the way, we realize the great partnership we have with nature, and with spirit.
