I saw this book while browsing my library's website. The description doesn't sound that interesting, but then I read the Kirkus Review which indicated that this book was about pigeons that go around shitting on people's phones. I had to request it.
This book was awesome. The main pigeon really bands all the birds together to shit on people's phones in order to get people to be more aware and look up and enjoy nature. It's positively brilliant.

Thanks Paw Prints Publishing for the ARC.

I thought it was okay... what you'd expect from the description: the birds are annoyed that humans are looking at screens instead of up at them and make a plan to do something about it. The illustrations are cute and the rhyming text gives the book a lighter feel while it tries to tackle a big topic. 3.5 stars.

Britt Gondolfi has found a creative way to remind the world what we are missing by keeping our eyes focused on technology. Although a picture book for kids, a message for everyone who owns a cell phone! If only pigeons could unite and carry out this revolution.

CONGRATS to author Britt Gondolfi and for helping parents, teachers, and children to step away from devices more regularly. To many people, especially children, are being diagnosed with a condition called "electrical-hypersensitivity." Some doctors describe it like an allergy to electricity, where a person's body over-reacts to the electromagnetic fields created by electrical appliances and by high-frequency radio wave sources that comes from phones, cellular towers, and computer devices. Populations of "developed nations" are exposed to a full array of wireless devices. It's exciting to know that SHARK TANK TV hosts & investors are now buying into companies that promote outdoors events and activities!

This must be a popular book, because it took forever for me to get it from my library. I deeply relate to Fontaine the Pigeon and I approve of his scatological warfare plan on humanity to get them to put their phones and devices down. It's a unique premise for separating humans from their devices. And the method deployed by the birds will amuse young readers to no end. I mean, really, what is funnier than poop? Actually, it's the expressions on all of the people's faces when their devices are dive bombed with bird poop.

Fontiane the pigeon is sad that everyone he seems is absorbed in their phones. He decides to stage a revolution with all his bird friends. Banding together they poop on any screen they see.

Told in rhyme this story is a silly reminder of the importance of taking a break from devices and enjoying the world around you.

This is literally the dumbest book I’ve ever read in my life. HOW DID IT EVEN GET PUBLISHED?????? Only good thing about it is the illustrations. Although I feel bad that the artist has to be associated with this mess.

Interesting premise and yes, everyone is on their phones too much.
As fond as I am of the idea of animals joining together to change human behavior, this book didn't speak to me.

A hilariously fun children’s book encouraging families to put the electronics down and “look up” be present and enjoy the moment, or else the consequences may stink!

It strives to inspire a certain important result, but the rhyme was off and the message was too obvious.
