...might well be the worst piece of reading you've ever encountered until the end which was so spectacular you're telling your grandchildren about it 50 years later?
What's this obsession with endings? An ending is just another piece of the story, same as the beginning or the middle.
...was a blah story with a blah ending?
...was INCREDIBLY well-written (the best you'd ever read!) but had the WORST ending ever?
