Every moment where Jean learns to create with his hands (cooking or pottery), or the scene focuses on Jean holding something gently in his hands (the peach given to him or the postcard he received), I legitimately get so choked up. Jean making little pockets of calm and peace for himself, when all he's ever had is violence forced upon him, hits so hard. I'm a mess.

I NEED MORE OF JEAN IN PROTECTIVE MODE-- STAT!!

Kevin and Andrew showing up brought actual tears to my eyes. I'm so glad I'm taking my time with this book, I don't want it to ever end.

Oh. The fireworks scene filled me with so much joy.

I love Jean so much. He's my everything.

While my heart is hurting already, I'm so glad to be back with all of these characters. I missed Jean so much.

Trying my best to get back to reading. Book slump/depression has hit ya girl HARD.
