Did you know that Nov. 1 was Author Day?! I didn't, but guess what, it's also my birthday. I'm sure someone in the National Holiday Office in Washington or wherever knew that. HEHEHE
Ok, best thing about being a writer? You can make stories in your head. I've always done it. When I was a little girl that's how I put myself to sleep, only the stories were all about me...a princess of course.
I have done lots of creative things, written songs, played the piano and the guitar, done photography and painted and drew, but writing is both elaborate and simple. The ideas pop into my head at the oddest times: like as I'm driving in the car or getting ready to go somewhere or reading a book. Of course , there's lots of research and then you must edit, edit, edit, but I even enjoy that.

we are doing your book, midwife of hope river, for book club tomorrow. it was my choice! just read it for the second time. i get the feeling you are about my age : 70ish! am i right? i am probably one of the oldest in the group. i really love your style and subject matter. just now found out about your other related books and am anxious to read them.
